This NASA animation of global ocean currents is pretty amazing. Look at the Gulf Stream go, and check out all of those gyres forming and spinning...
This type of project elegantly demonstrates the inherent beauty in nature and science, but is also extremely useful for helping to understand how the world's oceans behave and connect and interact.

On The Future Of Media Consumption
Aziz Ansari has released his newest stand up special on his website for $5. I'm going to guess that he does pretty well with it, especially after Louis CK absolutely cleaned up with this model last year.
As someone who refuses to subscribe to cable based on the exorbitant rates but loves Netflix and other streaming services, I think this is shaping up to be a great thing for all forms of video entertainment.
Here's a preview:

Ugh, this is certainly a bit of a snafu on someone's part. I'm just glad Colbert is around to help make sense of it all.

Staying Relevant
The Guardian is fighting hard to stay on top of the ever expanding and evolving news arena and for the most part I think they are among the best options out there especially at multi-platform delivery.
They also put together very clever ads to attract new consumers and keep the current ones entertained...
Ad Week has a good story on the spot, which received Ad of the Week recognition.
